Rame II – The Customizable Upgrade

The Rame II takes everything further. Using 22 AWG Japanese OCC copper in a refined type‑2 Litz geometry with ultra‑flexible TPU insulation, it delivers ultra‑low resistance and capacitance, allowing music to flow with greater transparency, tighter bass, and an airy, analog‑natural soundstage. Ergonomically, it is softer, lighter, and far less microphonic than most stock offerings. Designed to be the most customizable Gladiator Cables headphone cable to date, while remaining below the fully bespoke Taberna line, it offers unparalleled sonic refinement and comfort without compromise.

The use of 6N pure single‑crystal copper over the old rame I (5N) is not just about purity, but about the optimized crystal structure and processing that allows the copper to perform closer to its theoretical limits. Combined with a design that achieves an IACS conductivity of 101%, this wire ensures the cleanest signal transfer with minimal loss, matching the standards of copper used in aerospace, RF, and other extreme performance applications. This translates to greater micro‑detail retrieval, faster transient response, and a natural tonal balance that stock cables rarely achieve.

Beyond Standard High‑End Cables

While most high‑end headphones ship with decent OFC or OCC stock cables, they are typically built to meet cost, durability, and mass‑production standards rather than to extract the full potential of your headphones. These cables often have higher capacitance, less refined geometry, and stiffer insulation, which can slightly veil micro‑details and limit dynamics. Rame II eliminates these compromises, giving you a cable that not only complements but elevates your flagship headphones to a new level of performance.

Why Rame II Outperforms the Original 'Rame'

The original Rame featured 5N single‑crystal copper in a Type‑2 Litz design which is solid but modest by today’s standards. With Rame II, we’ve increased the gauge to 22 AWG, as well as refined the copper crystals to 99.9999% Pure giving it a rating of 6N achieving noticeably lower resistance and improved current flow. We’ve upgraded the insulation to TPU, a hybrid material offering exceptional flexibility, strength, and resistance to everyday use, ideal for frequent use in varied environments.

Because of the advanced geometry and insulating materials, capacitance and skin‑effect losses are minimized, which translates to cleaner, more analog‑like sound. Audiophiles often describe high‑quality copper cables as providing improved soundstage separation, air, and instrument definition, achievements that Rame II delivers with grace.
